Why ours actually does something
Fruiting body only
We use the actual mushroom, where the active compounds concentrate, not grain-grown mycelium.
Dual extraction
Water pulls the beta-glucans, ethanol pulls the compounds a plain hot-water extraction misses. You get both, not half.
Tested and disclosed
Every batch is third-party tested for potency and heavy metals, with the numbers on the label.

The receipts
Someone's name is on this
Most functional mushrooms are grown in facilities that won't put a name to them. Ours are grown by Tadashi, a cultivator whose family has grown mushrooms for generations, rooted in Gunma, Japan. He grows them here in LA, the same mushrooms we sell to Michelin kitchens.
We don't manufacture supplements. We grow mushrooms. The standard isn't a marketing claim. It's whether he'd serve it.
We grow it. Then we eat it.
Yamabushi started as a mushroom farm in Los Angeles, supplying chefs who can taste the difference between real fruiting body and grain filler. Our tinctures are made from the same mushrooms we sell to Michelin-star kitchens, because we wouldn't put our name on anything we wouldn't cook with ourselves.
How to use it
1. Shake the bottle. The good stuff settles, so give it a few shakes first.
2. Two full droppers. That's one daily serving. Take it straight, or stir it into coffee, tea, or water.
3. New to it? Start in a drink. It's an earthy, mushroom-forward taste. Mixing it into a drink the first few times is an easy way to ease in.
4. Once a day. The benefits build with daily use, so consistency matters more than timing.

FAQ
How is this different from capsules?
Most capsules are mycelium grown on grain, so you're swallowing starch with a little mushroom in it. Ours is 100% fruiting body, dual-extracted into a tincture. More of the active compounds make it in, and they absorb quickly. Same mushroom we sell to Michelin kitchens, in a form your body can actually use.
When will I feel something?
It works by supporting your body over time, not by hitting you like caffeine. Some people notice a difference in the first few days. For most, the fuller effect builds over two to four weeks of daily use, which is why staying consistent matters.
Is it safe? What about heavy metals?
Mushrooms absorb whatever's in their environment, which is exactly why where they're grown matters. Ours are grown in a controlled farm in LA, not an unregulated overseas facility, and every batch is third-party tested for heavy metals. If you're pregnant, nursing, or on medication, check with your doctor first.
How do I take it?
Two full droppers a day. Take directly and swallow, or stir it into coffee, tea, or water. New to the taste? Mixing it into a drink the first few times is the easy way in.
How does the subscription work?
A fresh bottle ships on your schedule at a lower price than one-time. Skip, pause, or change the date anytime, and cancel in two clicks with no fees or phone calls. Most people land on monthly, since one bottle is about a month of daily droppers.
Does IBUKI contain caffeine?
Yes, naturally occurring caffeine from guayusa leaf. Guayusa also carries theobromine and polyphenols, which is why the lift feels steadier than coffee, more of a slow ramp than a spike. It's still caffeine though, so treat it the way you'd treat a cup of tea.
When should I take IBUKI?
Morning or early afternoon. Because of the natural caffeine from guayusa, we don't recommend taking it within a few hours of bedtime. If you want something you can take in the evening, MEZAME and MAMORU are both caffeine-free.
What's the difference between IBUKI and MEZAME?
MEZAME is lion's mane on its own, built for focus and clarity. IBUKI adds cordyceps and guayusa on top of lion's mane, so you get the same focus support plus energy and stamina. If your problem is brain fog, start with MEZAME. If your problem is running out of gas by 2pm, start with IBUKI.
Is the cordyceps mycelium or fruiting body?
Fruiting body, dual-extracted, same standard as everything we make. A lot of cheap cordyceps is mycelium grown on grain, which means you're mostly paying for starch. Ours is the actual mushroom.
